How can I get more clients?

Growing a business can be hard. Dani Grieveson, a business coach in the UK, shares her story of how she recently helped a businesswoman build on her Strengths to find and secure new clients. She writes:
In a recent coaching session with a lady running her own business, I was asked how she could grow her business with more clients.
Identifying her CliftonStrengths®, we looked deeply into her top themes. One report I found useful for her development was the ‘Brings & Needs’ report in Cascade. It enabled her to understand the environment she needs for herself, so she can create the best opportunities for success.
Creating a Power List
Particularly pertinent was ‘The Power of Me’ tool in Cascade. Looking at her top themes, together we created a ‘Power List’ of her best words that most describe her and accurately what her business offers. They felt natural to her as they resonate with her top themes.

Between last week’s session and this week’s session, she held three new client conversations. Choosing to use her ‘Power List’ of words in these conversations, all three clients converted! Winning the new contracts fulfilled her need for business growth.
By applying her ‘Power List’ of words to conversations, she is able to engage her clients on a new and deeper level, resulting in more business.
Having discovered who she really is through her CliftonStrengths® themes and Cascade, she has experienced an outcome of both personal and professional growth.

How can I build better collaboration in teams?
Many of you will know the Cascade Team Summary report, which visually represents the themes for a team as a whole. By showing details for the top 5 themes of the team, members understand their team’s identity. Using the statements at the bottom of the page, they appreciate what the team brings, what it needs and how it is motivated.
Antonia Milkop in New Zealand takes the team top 5 themes to another level. By creating an entry in Cascade’s Theme Table with the top 5 themes for the team and using it within The Power of 2 worksheet, she helps team members gain new insights. She writes:
Considering how each individual player in a team contributes to the combined dominant talents of their team, I use The Power of 2 worksheet. Place the Team’s top 5 themes across the top and a member’s themes down the side.

A team member can look at their own themes and how they might enhance the strengths of the combined team – the “Team DNA”.
Arranging Input

For example; one of the Team’s dominant talents could be Input®, and team member may not have the Input® theme near the top. They can ask themselves: “How might my other dominant talents ‘feed’ this Input® talent of the team’s DNA?”
A person with the talent of Arranger® could organise an online system for the team to store any useful information and knowledge to find at a later date. The person with Arranger® may not have the ‘need’ to go off and collate all this information, but they will thrive in designing an organised system to help the team store their information!
Contributing to the team’s theme of Input® will help their team thrive and flourish.
